Following the success of last year’s inaugural Tennis Month in Canada, Tennis Canada announced that the month long celebration of tennis across the nation will again be held this June. Created in collaboration with the Provincial and Territorial Tennis Associations (PTTAs), Tennis Month in Canada aims to inspire people of all ages and abilities across the country to participate in fun tennis events in their communities.
This year’s campaign is set to return bigger and better and will build on the momentum created by our first-ever Tennis Month in Canada. “We are thrilled to be celebrating Tennis Month in Canada once again,” said Eva Havaris, Senior Vice President, Tennis Development and Partnerships at Tennis Canada. “We have seen encouraging growth in tennis across our country in recent years, and by partnering with the PTTAs, we are inviting Canadians from coast to coast to take part in Tennis Month in Canada and experience the physical and mental health benefits of playing tennis.”
Tennis Newfoundland and Labrador is happy to work with our member clubs to host events that promote tennis for new and seasoned players alike.
Those participating in a Tennis Month in Canada event are encouraged to share photos on social media with the hashtags #TennisMonth and #IPlayTennis.
